Hahei and Around
Hahei and the area Around Hahei is blessed with a spectacular coastline; rocks, coves, a hot beach, nice sandy Beaches and an abundance of wildlife. This place is excellent for Caving, snorkeling, diving, cruising, kayaking and tramping.
Outdoor
Beaches
There are many splendid Beaches in this area. One in particular is worth mentioning more explicit: Hot Water Beach. At this beach thermal waters brew below the sand. On each side of low tide you can dig a hole in the sand and have a nice and relaxing time in your own natural spa.
Caving
There are quite a few nice caves in this area. Famous ones are Cathedral Cove and Gemstone Bay.
Cruising
There are cruises offered on small boats to explore the magnificent coastline at and near Hahei.
Kayaking
There are some guided trips to the excellent caves in the area. These trips are absolutely worth it.
Scuba diving and snorkeling
Due to the abundance of marine wildlife this is an excellent place to dive and to snorkel. There are tours offered, you can also just rent the equipment.
Tramping
There are excellent tramps in this area. Some examples: a tramp to Te Pare Point and a tramp at Stingray Bay.
