Raglan
(population 2750)Raglan is a relaxing town. This town lies in a beautiful harbor. The main attractions of Raglan are its nearby world famous surf Beaches. Besides Outdoor activities Raglan offers nice shops, arts and good cafes.

Beaches and surfing
In Raglan itself there are some nice Beaches; most of them are good for swimming. Just outside of Raglan are many more Beaches. These Beaches are famous for Surfing, they are known in and outside New Zealand. Quiet a few of the Beaches outside of Raglan and in Raglan itself rent out surf and other aquatic activities equipment and offer lessons. Some of the Beaches around Raglan are: Rangipu Beach, Manu Beach and Ngarunui Beach. The latter beach has lifeguards.
Cruising
There are some cruising opportunities in Raglan. This is a nice way to explore the sandy but also rocky coastline.
Kayaking
There are some opportunities to rent a kayak, within and just outside of Raglan.
Tramping
Karamu Walkway, near Raglan, is a short walk which will provide you a splendid view. Of course making a nice tramp on a beach is lovely as well.
