Scenic driving routes

At The Anau the Southern Scenic Route starts. The road goes southwards to Invercargill via Manapouri, Clifden and Riverton. Underway you will pass a Suspension Bridge build in 1899 and the Clifden Caves. You can make a nice side trip to Lake Hauroko. From Invercargill the route goes along the coast via Gorge Road, Papatowai, Owaka and Balcutta to Dunedin. The route goes trough the Catlins Forest Park. Many nice side trips can be made to for example Nugget Point. For more information concerning this please look at: “Otago & Southland” “Areas of Interest” “Catlins Forest Park”.
