Reefton is a nice small town in the eastern part of Westcoast. This town boomed during the gold mining period in the 19th century. Reefton’s History is prevalent due to the many old houses and buildings. In August 1888 Reefton was the first town with electricity supply on the south of the equator; the powerhouse can still be visited.
