Hot Springs and Thermal Pools

Due to the geological dynamisms of the country there are many hot springs and thermal pools in New Zealand. The northern island is blessed with more than the southern. This is quite logical considering the northern island is more volcanic than the southern. If you would like to go to hot springs or thermal pools on the southern island the best place to go to is Hanmer Springs (Canterbury). On the northern island you just have to go to the center of the island; you will find loads of them.
