Getting Around in the Cities

The cities in New Zealand have plenty of taxis available. Even in the smaller cities and towns you will probably be able to find a taxi quite easily. The larger cities, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch have an extensive bus network. In particular areas in the cities, where the pubs and clubs are, you will find late night busses. Wellington is the only city with a good train network. This network comprises four suburban routes. Christchurch has besides its busses a historical tramway which makes a 2km loop trough the city.
