In New Zealand you can choose between a luxurious rural area lodge, a holiday house, bed & breakfast in a characteristic villa, a farm, an apartment, a cosy youth hostel and a nice (primitive) camping; everything is possible in New Zealand.

It is recommendable to book in advance when visiting New Zealand in summertime or in wintertime when going to ski resorts.

Prices on the northern island tend to be a bit higher than on the southern.
