Health and Vaccination

Vaccinations are not needed when going to New Zealand. This means there is no (reasonable) risk in New Zealand for getting diseases like yellow fever and hepatitis. Of course there are other things concerning health to look out for. Because the ozone layer above New Zealand is quite thin you will probably get sun burned easier than in your home country. Especially when you undertake Outdoor activities: put on good sunscreen and wear a hat. If you need medical treatment don’t worry: the standards are high. But make sure you are insured well (please read “Insurance” as well).
