Visitors covered by New Zealand’s Reciprocal Health Agreements with Australia and the UK are able to use publicly funded health care when a necessity arises only. The other visitors should take precautions with their own domestic health and travel insurance companies. This in order to secure that, when a necessity occurs, medical treatment is covered.
